Introducing a one-of-a-kind plush Fuzzgrub, hand-felted & ready to cuddle. Samson is a mysterious insect from deep in the rainforests of Blurff. With skin composed entirely of sugar molecules, and hair of cherry cotton candy, Samson has a hard time on walks in the woods when all the creatures want a nibble. Luckily, cotton candy is a favourite food of the ladybugs on Blurff, and the ladybugs on Blurff just so happen to be Samson's favourite food, so it all works out in the end!

All plush Pet Mutants are formed in a lab over the course of dozens of hours by using dyed sheep's wool. By gently poking a needle thousands of times into the wool, their body takes shape and solidifies, at which point their personality begins to show. At this point, the needle poking continues for countless more hours, mostly because the mutant is weird and kinda likes it (it's like tickling to them.)

Introducing a one-of-a-kind plush Spotted Baby Owlbear, hand-felted & ready to cuddle. Dolby comes from the clover-covered hills of Pancake Island. His bright green spots dont do much to camouflage him while he plays in the clover but they sure do help his friends find him during impromptu games of hide & seek! Dolby's tough beak is perfect for slicing open pea pods (his fav food) and his sweet bushy plumage acts as a very effective toot-wafter.

A one-of-a-kind plush mutant Blue Bearded Scufflekeet. Hand-felted & ready to cuddle. Grizelda's natural habitat is the basketwoven nests in the treetops of Quark. Her favorite food are Gufflefruit berries and she loves to sing a song if one is squeezed near her, as it releases the scent that reminds her of being in love.

Grizelda and her nest were created as a collaboration between Nate & Teresa Kachanoski for the Pearl Ellis Gallery's "Shared Ground" exhibit. Her nest was handmade with basketweaving by Teresa, and embellished with felted vegetation, flowers and fruit. The sculpture even plays the sound of Grizelda singing when you squeeze the Gufflefruit! You can see Grizelda in-person by visiting the Pearl Ellis Gallery up until July 18th. Please note that if you adopt Grizelda and her nest, she will be shipped out after the exhibit ends on July 18th, 2026.

A one-of-a-kind plush Gunkan Troll. Hand-felted & ready to cuddle. Oona comes from the Mapled Woods of Gunka. Her single eye is prepped for a good nights sleep at any given moment which is a bit of a danger as her favourite food is pre-chewed bubble gum, which can sometimes get tangled up in her horns while she sleeps. Oona's fins make her a fantastic swimmer but she prefers climbing trees, which is actually really hard to do with fins.

Galactic Emperor Aseretan and his armor were created as a collaboration between Nate & Teresa Kachanoski for the Pearl Ellis Gallery's "Shared Ground" exhibit on display until July 18th. Aseretan’s exterior tentacle armor can be carefully removed to reveal his tattooed skin, adorned with the language of the ancients.

A one-of-a-kind plush Quarkian Frogmallow. Hand-felted & ready to cuddle. Kaeru was born as an albino Frogmallow, which usually emerge from their tadpole form with a golden toasted glow, but was instead a creamy white of a freshly untoasted marshmallow. The years of playing in the bright blue flowers of the Azure Fields has permanently stained Kaeru's sensitive skin with blotches of sky blue, which makes them a real hit with the other Frogmallows!

A one-of-a-kind plush Pet Mutant, hand-felted & ready to cuddle. Edwin is a Brodaxxian Swamp Flopper, his species was almost extinct when the Galactic Governer of the Spegg System introduced a mandatory breeding holiday. The results of holiday were largely positive and over the years, Swamp Floppers evolved to possess multiple eyeballs (more than the original amount of one). Scientists think the multi-eyed mutations gave the creatures a much better chance of spotting potential mates on the annual Brodaxxian Swamp Hopper Lovin' Day. The eyeballs also helped them track down Goldfish Crackers, which just so happens to be Edwin's favourite food!

He loves jumping as high as he can but sometimes has a hard time with landings, so wears blueberry knee pads to protect him during an erroneous fall. One of his his favourite foods are Zinzandian grapes, which turn to Zinzandian wine in his belly, which he then feeds to his friends to get the party started. (Don't ask how he gets it back out of his belly.)

Hey, I'm Nate!

I grew up trading Monster-In-My-Pockets, obsessing over Nintendo games and Jim Henson creations, performing Boglin puppet shows, and drawing weird creatures too gross for the fridge. Today I'm an inter-disciplinary artist, musician and game designer living on Vancouver Island, Canada.

Pet Mutant is the brand I would have torn open at the toy store in 1992 and refused to put back. Every piece in this drop was drawn, painted, felted, or printed by my own two hands.
